ABC Priorities

ABC Priorities

National Children's Day

We would like Birmingham City Council and Birmingham Businesses to work together, organise and celebrate National Children's Day each year in May.

Involving Children & Young People

We will involve children and young people in every aspect of this campaign.

Safer City

We will campaign for ABC to live and grow up in a city free from the fear of crime and domestic abuse.

Local Political  Accountability.

We will produce bi-annual reports highlighting what our elected leaders have done in the last six months to promote the best interests of ABC and what they will be doing in the next 6 to further this.

Housing, Education, Employment and Training

We will campaign for ABC to have access to decent housing, a 'good' enough education and quality employment / training opportunities.

Youth Services

We will campaign ABC to have FREE / REDUCED cost access to youth and leisure services.

Transport

We will campaign for ABC to have FREE / REDUCED cost access to public transport.

Physical & Mental Health Care

We will campaign for ABC to have timely access to high quality physical and mental health care.

Faith Organisations

We recognises that for many local children faith places a big part in their lives. As such, we will encourage local faith organisations to work together for the best interests of ABC regardless of faith.

Businesses

We will encourage all local business to pledge and demonstrate support for ABC. Our aim is to get 250 local businesses signed up by 2020.

ACTION PLAN

ABC's Action Plan is very simple: we hope to make a positive contribution to making Birmingham a better place for children of all ages to live and grow up in.
